DANDY DAWGS CLASSES AND PROGRAMS
Please contact me by e-mail or phone for pre-registration and location. We will discuss particular issues and requests regarding you and your dog, as well as requirements for each class. Soft high reward treats, easy access to treats, collar and leash are all that is needed for most of the classes. I have training leads, treat pouches and other training tools available for purchase at all classes. All pooches need to be current on vaccines. Dandy Dawgs is a positive reinforcement reward based training program using no chain or prong collars. Prong collars actually cause less trachea damage than choke chains, but the dog does not learn to choose to make a decision based on anything other than discomfort.

PRESCOTT DOG TRAINING RETREAT
Dandy Dawgs offers you the opportunity to stay in beautiful Prescott, Arizona while training your pooch. The package includes R.V. parking (a dump station is only 4 miles away), one to two meals a day, “Dining with Canines” in Prescott’s many canine friendly patios and a training program designed specifically for you and your pooch.
Upon evaluating your pooch we can determine together the type of program that best fits your lifestyles. Be it general in home and town training, hiking, biking or a combination of the above, Prescott is a fun place to explore with your dog.
If you choose the comfy setting of an in home stay, that can be discussed. All pooches staying in the home must be evaluated for compatibility with The Dandy Dawgs Crew.

PRIVATE SESSIONS
Dandy Dawgs offers focused attention to you, your family's and your dog's needs in your home, city or woodland environment dependent on situation.
My fees are by the session not by the hour. A session may be from 1 1/2 to 3 hours in duration.
$95.00 one dog first session -- $75.00 second session
$125.00 two dogs first session -- $110.00 second session
$150.00 three plus dogs first session -- $135.00 to $150.00 second session
$400 six week Puppy/Primary private class
$350 six week Basics to the Streets private class
May concede to a sliding scale depending on background of dog(s), situation and number of sessions.
• $5 to $10 traveling fees are expected if outside of Prescott. Phoenix or Flagstaff would be more.
• Boarding is dependent on dog's age, background and time frame.
• General boarding fees vary from $30 to $50 per night stay and are dependent on level of obedience and further training requested or required. (Muttluk Boot Camp may be suggested.)
• All pooches must be evaluated for their ability to blend with The Dandy Dawgs Crew.
• You will be required to furnish your dog’s specific food.

Dandy Dawgs teaches a non-traditional approach to training, incorporating behavioral understanding when working with dogs. Thus helping their people have a better relationship with them.

TOWN HOUNDS
$65 for 4 week class (approx. 2 hour session per week).
This Dandy Dawgs class is a direct extension of the Basics to the Streets program. It offers two Dining with Canines, breakfast and dinner. Your pooch will expand her street manners, behaviors and confidence. You will develop more confidence in your dog while expanding your training skills.
• As you work together in diversified public environments, you and your dog will enhance and enrich your bonding connection.
• Your pups will learn to be mindful of traffic, stop at sidewalks, be attentive to your requests while ignoring unexpected distractions.
• They will be ladies and gentlemen in stores and any number of scenarios which might be presented around towns.
• They will learn elevator etiquette.
• They will extend their sit and down stays.
• Both of you will improve your focus.
• Your pooch will nicely walk up and down stairs and more.

• How about the leash laws?
• Can we keep our pups at our side around town, next to our bicycles, while we are running or jogging?
• How much water do they need?
• How much rest?

ADVANCED BASICS
$85 for 6 week class.
This class will give you and your pooch an opportunity to take your Sits, Stands, Downs, Leave its and all the Dandy Dawgs skills he knows to a new and higher level.
Your pooch will learn to obey all your commands from a distance, out of your sight and in awkward situations.
You will both expand your confidence and skills through various exercises AND you both will have fun as your bond deepens.
This class is for students who have taken Basics to the Streets, Town Hounds or Tails to Trails OR can demonstrate their dogs are prepared to expand their training to this level.
Each class will be designed for the dog’s abilities who are taking this class
At the end of class a Canine Good Citizen test and certificate will be offered. An additional fee of $15 will be asked.

DandyDawgs will provide tents if needed. You will have to provide bedding for your pup and yourself. The evening meal and breakfast will be provided. You must provide food and water for your dog, as well as lunches, snacks and personal needs for yourself.

BIKE DAWGS
$65 for a four week class (approx. 2 hr. session per week)
This is Dandy Dawgs newest fun class. It is an advanced class and requires your pooches to be well skilled at all the basics taught in the Basics to the Streets Program. Town Hounds and/or Tails to Trails classes are strongly recommended as a prerequisite for this class. If you have never attended any of these classes or not within a year, you and your dog will need to be evaluated for focus and abilities.
The first class will include an orientation on woodland safety tips, water needs and health advisories. It is not designed for long strenuous rides, just fun exercise for you and your fury biking companion. This is not a class for older dogs.
• Your dogs must be practiced on commands such as wait-stop-close-heal-leave it-here.
• One Dining with Canines is offered at the graduation class.
• You with your pooch will learn how to manage the skills of bicycle riding together.
• A waist lead system is used in this class.
• You will ride together in four different settings with two easy trail rides and one street ride.
• Your pooches will learn high level attentiveness to your requests while ignoring distractions.
• You will both enhance your focusing skills
• Learning this will further develop the growing bond and trust between the two of you.
• During each class, your four legged bike partners will have the opportunity to brush up on their basic behavior requests, stairs, elevators, entry/exit, etc.

Dandy Dawgs offers one to two week training packages for those of you wishing to have your pooch professionally trained. Depending on the level of previous training will determine the fee.
Individualized packages may be designed if your dog is already established in training and only specifics want to be focused on. This is essentially a full Basics to the Streets program polished and refined needing only your consistent commitment and maintenance.
• Your dog will learn all the basics including intense social training and exposure to many diversified environments.
• Basic behavior requests will be learned in all those environments.
$300 to $700
Dandy Dawgs offers one to two week training packages for those of you wishing to have your pooch professionally trained. Depending on the level of previous training will determine the fee.

If you do not make a sincere commitment to follow through with regular socializing, daily practice sessions and the designed program, do not expect maintained results.
Even though private sessions are given Dandy Dawgs strongly urges you to follow through with a Basics to the Streets Class to insure your ability to continually represent yourself well to your newly trained pooch. In some circumstances, an Advanced Basics may be recommended.
People and pooches can only reap the rewards from a program like this if the "people" part of the equation is 100% on paw with follow through OR you just have a wonderfully trained pooch who does wonderful things for the trainer!
